An old proverb says, “Life is short, the art long”. Or was it the other way around?
Either way, theater - no matter how long it takes - is always about life, whereas life,
regardless of how long it lasts, is hardly ever about theater.

And since Tschechow, all his life, was miffed that nobody got how funny his plays were,
we are placing the title of his play, “The three sisters”, trustingly in the hands of clowns.
In the hands of clown women, to be more accurate.
What do you get? A turbulent play all about life. Of short and long duration.
About understanding and trust. About being funny and miffed. Or was it the other way around?
